Want to be sponsored free stuff?!

     I wanted to write a post about sponsorships after getting to know about it first hand. If you're looking to sponsor people or if you are a blogger who want's to be sponsored, this guide will help you. A sponsorship from a fashion store means that the store will send you some products for you to review in order to advertise and increase their traffic and sales. It's nice getting free stuff in the mail but there are things you must do as well.

REQUIREMENTS & HOW TO BE SPONSORED

     Every store has different requirements but I can tell you the basics. First, store's will most likely have a follower requirement. Popular stores can require you to have anywhere from 400 to 5000 Tumblr, Blogger, and/or Youtube followers. Newer and smaller stores may require less but this is not always the case. You may see that store's require more Tumblr followers than Blogger or Youtube followers because blogs on Tumblr tend to have more followers due to its popularity and convenience.

Secondly, these things are not always required but may be depending on the store:
  • You may have to take pictures, including those of yourself with the product on.
  • You may have to put their promotion icon or advertisement on the front page of your blog or Youtube channel for a certain period of time.
  • You may have to inform them on when you post it.
  • You may have only a certain amount of time to post your review once you receive your items.
  • Some sponsors require you to agree that they have the right to your pictures and information from your review.
  • You may have to host a giveaway.
  • You may have to provide a discount code for your followers and/or feature it on your blog or Youtube channel for a certain amount of time.
  • You may have to have a blog that is specifically for or like the store you want to be sponsored from. For example, if you want to be sponsored from a kfashion like store, they may want your blog to be themed around kfashion.
Lastly, and the most obvious, you will have to write a review on the products you received with as much information as possible. Some sponsors may require a certain amount of words.

WHAT REVIEWS SHOULD BE LIKE

     Basically, reviews should be as informative and detailed as possible. You should always take pictures of the product. If you're doing a video, you should always film as much detail as possible. It might not always be required but taking pictures of the product/s on yourself is very appreciated by sponsors. This way, your followers can see what the product actually looks like on someone.

Things to include are:
  • How long shipping took. Was it as expected according to the store's shipping policy? Was there a policy?
  • How the store looks. Is it organized?
  • How do you like your products? How do they fit you?
  • Sizing
  • Material
  • The quality of your products
  • Pricing
  • How was customer service? Were you contacted to do a review or did you contact the store?
  • A discount code if you were given one
  • What kind of products does the store sell?
  • Pictures
TIPS

     I have sponsored a few people and have enjoyed my experience. It's a nice way to give and to get in return but there are a few things you need to know. Most of these are personal but I can assure you a lot of professional sponsors will agree. These may actually be the most important things for you to know:
  1. A store cannot sponsor everyone. They are looking for quality blogs with a lot of followers. If you are just starting out I advise you to search for a newer store that may not require so many followers. Send emails out to everyone.
  2. Speaking of emails - keep them professional. Your application should include if you meet the requirements and provide proof that you do. Tell them why your interested and give them as much information as you can. The more info your provide the more likely you are to get sponsored.
  3. Professional sponsors prefer bloggers who are mature, meaning they are less likely to sponsor people who respond immaturely to rude messages, for example.
  4. Follow up with your sponsor and keep them updated with any information or issues.
  5. Always follow through with the sponsorship rules. If a store requires you do have a discount code or logo on your blog or Youtube channel, put it there.
  6. Write a decent review. "I really liked this product, here is a discount code..." is not acceptable. No matter what a store sends you, you should always write a detailed review. Sponsors will usually send out something that is worth at least 15-20 dollars. That may not seem like a lot but it comes out of their pocket and costs nothing to you. It's never entirely sure exactly how much traffic or how many sales a store will get because of you. You are getting free things, so writing a nice detailed review would be the decent thing to do. To put it another way, someone making minimum wage would have to work about 2 1/2 hours just to make the amount of money they spend on your free products. I have written many A college papers; it takes less than one hour to write five paragraphs that don't include any research, so that should say something.
  7. Grow and learn from your business. Be professional. If a store loves your reviews and blog or Youtube channel they may want to keep the business long term, which means more free stuff for you! In the process, you will also gain more followers.
I will be opening my sponsorship up very soon for those of you interested. I hope you all the best and good luck out there qt's!

Charlotte Russe Mini Haul

Hi lovelies! The 24th was my birthday and I turned a big 24! Time goes by so fast and I can hardly believe in one year I'll be halfway to thirty. It's kind of a scary thought :( so be thankful for every day you're alive and never take your time on this earth for granted. I remember being in highschool and it felt like yesterday but almost six years have already passed! Sometimes I wonder why it goes by so fast, or how I'm going to be able to do everything I want or need to do for myself and others before my time is up. My time could be tomorrow however, and that should make me more determined. Sigh. Life goes on my friends, and time does not stop. Ever heard that song Time by Pink Floyd? Listen to it here. The feels. Okay, I have to stop writing about this or I'll get all emotional >.<

Anyway, I was given a Charlotte Russe gift card by my dear friend (TM!) and i went there yesterday to get a few things! I've been needing some pants but unfortunately didn't find any on clearance that fit me well. I always have a hard time finding pants because I'm so short and have a small waist but big thighs. They are high waist. The only thing I don't like about these are how the material around the buttons stretch and make me look like I can't fit into my pants! These actually fit perfect and aren't tight at all. They are very stretchy though and that's probably why they do that. I can deal with that though, so I decided to get them! I absolutely love the color! $32 is about average price for pants, so I can't complain too much.

There were scarves on sale for $5 and there were many to choose from! I got this creamy white one and half of it is lace. It's so pretty and soft! It's like a one piece so it doesn't part and I love it! I'm stoked to use it during Fall (if it ever gets chilly enough here in Florida).

Lastly, I got a set of three head bands and one flower head band for $10. They are honestly things that I could totally make myself and probably for much cheaper but I couldn't resist. They are all adorable. (Sorry about the bad lighting)

I really really really love this one ^_^

Welp, that's it. I have a huge haul coming soon for my store so keep an eye out for it. It will include platform shoes, apparel, and some very pretty violet contacts! 'Till next time!

Confidence

Ori's a robot but she
can still werk that ball.
Confidence is something everyone needs to work on. I refuse to believe that every person is completely confident with themselves. I'm not just talking about physical looks. People tend to be very negative. We're always questioning whether or not we can do something or if something is going to go our way, and no, not everything will go our way and that's okay sometimes. However, it affects our mood and most of us become very angry and/or sad because of it. Being angry ruins lives in my honest opinion. I know from watching others and from experience. Anger holds grudges and hates and there is nothing beautiful from that. We tend to make things worse for everyone including ourselves, actually. As hard as it may be, we all have to learn to control our emotions and think more positively when something upsets us; to let go and forgive and to be confident about our intellect and looks. Speaking of looks, not everyone can afford to go on a shopping spree every day and not everyone has "the look" society seems to think is sexy, but think about it, when you go out in public you want people to think good about you (not that their opinion really matters) but you mostly just want to feel confident, so really, you dress for yourself. It would make more sense right? Wear what you feel would be comfortable, what you think is cute, and forget what others think. If you walk in confidence people will see that and look up to you. That is how people set trends in fashion. I know you see all the "ridiculous" clothing that goes up and down the runway in magazines and tv, but soon enough those trends start getting popular and then we all seem to adjust to it and want to own it too. It's because people are confident about it. That is with everything in life. The more confident you are about something, the more successful it's going to be and that can be said about every single thing on this planet (even bad, but please don't do that). Love each other, give, forgive, be confident and stay classy.

My giveaway has ended and the winner is...

Jenny Li has won my giveaway contest. Thank you so much for the 161 entries! It was a very successful first giveaway and I will be doing many more. I hope you all have a wonderful day and if you're not please know that being angry and holding grudges makes everything ten times worse and it's better to let go and try your hardest to know its mind over matter and to stay positive, as Lux would say!

deals deal deals

I am a sucker for clearance deals. You can find great things for under ten bucks and save a lot of money if you do the following:

1. If you're strictly looking for deals, keep your eyes off everything else and go straight to the clearance rack, which is probably in the back corner of the store somewhere. Looking at other products is just going to tempt you to buy them. I promise at the end of the day, you will leave happy with what you've got and less money spent.
2. Get creative. A lot of the items on the clearance rack are there because nobody wants to buy them. If you know how to sew, cut, and decorate, try it on some of the clothes, or set your own style.
3. Look at every individual item. Sometimes, there are amazing things just hiding and waiting to be found.
4. Go into those little shops in the mall that no one visits. They are usually very cheap and you will find a gem or two somewhere in there.
4. My biggest problem is this: spending too much money because you think you've found all these deals. Keep it to a minimum. You may have got more with your money but did you really need it? The goal is to save money, not to spend as much just because you found more things that cost less.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I treated myself yesterday, feeling that I deserved it and it's been entirely too long. I got 2 pairs of shorts, a dress with a belt, and an adorable blouse for just $27. Something like that usually costs anywhere from $55 to $80. I'll share with you what awesome things I got for such low prices.
These shorts were $5 each at Rue21. I love love love that store and they have some of the best deals I've ever come across. They are very high quality and fit and feel so comfortable, which is such a blessing because I'm very short with very big thighs.
I found this adorable dolly shirt in some random store. No one was in there and there wasn't a whole lot I liked except this shirt. Believe it or not, everything was $5....yes, everything!
And finally, this cute lilac dress that came with a belt (not pictured) was on sale for $12 at Charlotte Russes.
Good luck finding deals and have a blessed day!
Dem cheap products..
For the first time in a long time I was able to buy much needed stuff with money that I earned and not with money that was given to me. Fortunately for me I've found some pretty awesome yet cheap drugstore products throughout the years. Some of these are currently my favorite products:
L'oreal Paris' Superior Preference is a good brand, however, know that NO hair dye is ever good for your hair, especially the one's that come in a box. This is my addiction. I've had my hair so many different colors, and that is most likely the reason for the breaking of my hair. So always be careful when putting things like this in your hair.
Anyway, I still use this stuff (i know shame on me), and I think this color is gorgeous. It's 9A Light Ashe Blonde. I usually go for the cheaper brand (which I can't even remember the name) that has a color very similar and works jut as well, however, they were out of stock so I ended up with this one. I get these for my roots but end up putting it all over my head in which i get a gold to platinum look. Some might not like this, but I do. Unfortunately, with doing this, I damage the ends of my hair because they are so frail and I have dyed them SO much. Moving on...
This is my absolute favorite drugstore powder. Rimmel's Stay Matte 011 Creamy Natural is smooth, covers very well, and smells good! It gives me that nice smooth matte finish and it only costs about $4 at Walmart.
NYC's 887 Black Noir Liquid Eyeliner is amazing. If you're experienced with precision tips (not felt) then you will love this. It glides on easily and you get a very dramatic dark black liner. However, it is very non water proof and will come off easily if you get it wet. I think this cost me $1 at Walmart.
Maybelline's Volum'Express The Falsies Flared 286 Blackest Black is around $5 and is very convenient. I personally think it's unique shape helps you get all of your lashes the way you want them. I personally don't think it gives a cat eye look unless you have lashes that actually grow that way, yet it is still a nice mascara.
I think Rimmel has some very nice base products. Rimmel's Clean Finish 240 Soft Beige goes on beautifully. It's light and non oily. When you finish it with the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, it gives a very nice matte doll like look. The cap is connected to a applicator and it's a nice little convenient touch.
This is probably the most random of them all but Suave's deodorant only costs $2 at Walmart and it is probably one of the best. Definitely my go to cheap deodorant.
Well I hope this gave you some insight on what to buy the next time you stop by Walmart or the like. Have a blessed day!
Hair cut and shop orders!
Once upon a time I cut my bangs on my own and it was a disaster. At first they were alright but I honestly wasn't going for this look.
I wanted pinup bangs like these
and boy was that a huge mistake. My bangs ended up looking like this
But that's not even the worst of it. However, I'm not going to share those embarrassing pictures. I kept cutting at them and making it worse. Once you get bangs, there's no going back and then you'll be waiting years for them to grow back out.
Recently, however, I wanted bangs again. I wanted them right this time and so I went to this Hair Cuttery place and a nice lady named Amanda cut my hair. I got it trimmed also. I learned that my hair's ends are like cotton (which I have noticed) and completely break off (like cotton) when wet. >.< It's all the dye and bleach I've used in my hair. I bought some conditioning treatment called Biolage's Hydrotherapie Conditioning Balm and I hope it will work.
So these are my new bangs
and I have mixed feelings for them. I think Amanda cut one side shorter than othe other as you can see in the picture and the side that's longer, she missed some hair. It's thicker on the right side (my left). They are cute but totally different and I have a round face so I don't think this accentuates my face as much but like I said, there's no going back. I will get use to them; they're kind of cute.
On another note, my shop true blue qt
is doing really well for only being open for about a week. The Totoro, bear, and kitty tights are really popular!
Blogger friends!! Use the code: yousobest for 10% off all items!
Have a blessed day!
there's a first for everything.
So this is my first entry! I suppose I will introduce myself and welcome you to the blog and tell you a bit about what it's going to include.
My name is tabitha and I'm 23 years of age. I will be 24 in September. I am starting my 2nd year of college this coming Monday and I'm currently enrolled full time. I'm mostly studying psychology and sociology; both very interesting subjects. I live in central Florida and I personally love it. I'm in the middle of two very popular cities where there is a lot to do if you got the money. I love the town I live in and I love the warm weather because I'm not a huge fan of the cold. I am currently unemployed and looking for a part time job so I can get my very own place. All the while, I run iheartjurassicpark on tumblr and my own little shop called true blue qt. There I sell hand made jewelry, hair accessories, vintage/unique thrift items, and other trendy apparel, shoes, purses, and more! However, I've noticed a lot of very popular shops that sell the same exact items as I do but for twice as more - yikes! Stop on by where I find really cute stuff and save money! I enjoy being on tumblr and reddit and playing pc/video games including league of legends and currently, borderlands 2! I enjoy many things such as reading, writing, films, games, and crafting. You can see all my interests in my profile.
What you can expect to see on this blog
Here is a list of things you will eventually find on my blog:
  • Personal entries
  • Beauty Tutorials
  • DIY Tutorials
  • Reviews
  • Giveaways
  • Products from my shop (coupons, etc.)
  • Other cute and nerdy things
The reason I created this blog is because I enjoy writing and I make enough personal entries on my personal tumblr already, plus my store is up and running and I think this will be a great way to interact the two. I'm excited to start this and hope you guys will join me on this little journey of mine!
